Huddersfield Town defender Harry Toffolo was delighted to make a winning return to the pitch at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Toffs made his first appearance following over two months out on the sidelines with a back injury, during the Terriers’ 2-0 victory at the City Ground.

Speaking alongside Aaron Rowe after the match, the full-back explained the importance of the win to #HTTV.

“It’s massive,” he said.

“If you look at the business end of the season now, you need to pick up points.

“We’re in a situation at this football club where we need to pick up points and fast, we’ve done that today (Saturday) and all we can do now is take care of ourselves.

“Yes we can look at the fixtures, I’m sure we’re all guilty of that and the fans are the same looking at the table, but at the end of the day it’s down to us.”

The defender played 66 minutes in the victory, his first appearance since the draw at Luton Town at the beginning of February.

“I’ve been out 10-to-11 weeks now, to have one training session yesterday with the group was pretty chaotic.

“I’ve had a good few conversations with Carlos (Corberán) over playing this game, and we felt it was the right choice for me to start the game.

“I ended up doing a lot more than I thought and I felt pretty good. I think once it went to 2-0, we could start looking to other games and giving the other lads the opportunities to play.

“But first and foremost, it’s three points, three massive points and a clean sheet is huge as well. There were some incredible performances out there from the lads that played the full game.”

As well as Toffs, Josh Koroma returned to Town’s match day squad in Nottingham following a hamstring injury with midfielder Carel Eiting also back in training and expected to return to action before the end of the season.

Town’s no.3 says the returning players in the squad are keen to provide a late-season boost having missed recent matches.

“It’s exciting. I’ve had some time away, you’ve got players like Josh (Koroma) and Carel (Eiting) too coming back, so our enthusiasm is there, we’re champing at the bit to play.

“They’ve (the rest of the team) been in the trenches, now it’s for us to come here with some enthusiasm, give the boys a lift, I’m sure it was the case today and now we go again and build on that.”
