Young winger signs new contract at Huddersfield Town

- Sam Peplow puts pen-to-paper on new deal at Town
- Youngster’s contract will run until 30 June 2022

Academy winger Sam Peplow has signed a new contract at Huddersfield Town!

The 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a new deal that runs until 30 June 2022, with the Terriers having an option to extend it for a further year.

Sam became a Young Terrier ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, joining the Club as a left-back from Manchester United.

Since that point, he has impressed in the Club’s Academy and his athleticism has seen him deployed primary as a right winger.

During the current campaign, the youngster has made 21 appearances for Town’s Under-19s, alongside 13 for the Club’s B Team. He’s also bagged five goals for the sides.

Huddersfield Town Academy Manager Emyr Humphreys explained:

“Sam has really impressed us over the last 12 months and has made great strides with his development.

“He’s been working really hard with our coaches to improve his game and we’ve really started to that paying off on the pitch.

“The challenge for Sam is to keep improving, to keep working hard, and then eventually making the next step into men’s football.”
