- Koroma ready to help Town’s First Team

Josh Koroma gained valuable minutes for Huddersfield Town B as he aims to return to First Team football!

The 22-year-old has been out of action since the beginning of December 2020 having suffered a hamstring injury in a win over Sheffield Wednesday.

After completing his rehabilitation, Koroma featured for 30 minutes as Town B took on Blackpool at the Club’s Training Ground.

“It felt good to get a run out,” said Josh.

“I felt a bit rusty, but I came through the game unscathed and with no pain in my leg which is the good thing.

“Blackpool fielded a good side and they hit us on the break a couple of times which is how they scored their goals. The main thing in games like that is getting minutes for players that haven’t been playing.”

As the forward returns, he explained how important it is for him to get minutes with the Young Terriers.

“You can’t repeat game situations, so the only way you get match fit is by playing games. Whether it’s 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 90 minutes, it’s better to be out there than in training. Fitness-wise I felt alright!

“I’ve been training for a few weeks now and yesterday was obviously my first game. I’m feeling good!

“Whenever the team needs me or the gaffer needs me to play, I’ll be ready.”
