Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán provided the latest team news when he addressed the media in his virtual press conference ahead of Saturday afternoon’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Josh Koroma played his first minutes back from injury in the B Team’s game against Blackpool FC on Wednesday afternoon, and Carlos admits it’s positive to have him back in the squad.

“It’s very positive to have Josh Koroma back. He’s been out of the team for a long time, but we know how important he was at the beginning of the year. He deserved to be in that position because he was putting in all the hard work to score the goals.

"We are now in a position where we can consider him for the last part of the season because he’s worked hard with his recovery. He’s going to be available with the squad tomorrow, he’ll be travelling with the team.

“Pipa will be available on Saturday. He’s in better condition that he was last week.”

Whilst providing the latest team news, Carlos also provided an update on Alex Pritchard, Carel Eiting, Álex Vallejo and Yaya Sanogo.

“The only change since Bournemouth is that Pritchard was playing some minutes with the B Team and felt an injury, so he cannot be with the team. He felt a kick in one of his muscles and he’s going to have a scan on Monday to see how long it’ll take to recover.

“Carel Eiting is a little bit behind Josh. We need to continue seeing how he progresses and see how he adjusts to being back in training. He won’t be available for Saturday.

“Vallejo is continuing with the same issue following his concussion. We’re still waiting on confirmation from the medical staff to be able to bring him into the team, so we won’t have him for Saturday. He’s still having some of the consequences of the concussion and he’ll have another scan on Monday. After that we’ll see if everything is fine or if we need to wait more. We need to follow the medical advice.

“Sanogo also won’t be with us. We expect to have him back in the next week. It’s a pity that he couldn’t arrive on time to play the game, but it isn’t going to be a long-term injury and that’s the most important thing. He’s got a cut on his foot and so he isn’t allowed to play just yet.”

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game, Carlos gave his thoughts on Nottingham Forest, who currently sit 15th in the Sky Bet Championship table.

“With a new Manager, Nottingham Forest have changed in a positive way. They’re a team who in the summer brought in many players who have improved the level of their squad. They have very positive players and that’s why, for me, they are in the position that they’re in now. The results they had at the start of the season are not the right results in terms of the squad that they have.

“I think it’s clear that both teams will be playing trying to get the three points. For them it would be a good step and for us it would be key. We are going to be going to that game aiming to get everything and get the result that we want to.”
