Huddersfield Town can confirm that Steve Mounié has today completed a permanent transfer to French Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois 29.

The terms of the 25-year-old’s transfer to the French side will remain undisclosed.

The striker joined the Terriers from Montpellier HSC in the summer of 2017 and played a big part in the Club’s survival in the Premier League during the 2017/18 campaign.

He’s gone on to make 95 appearances for the Club in all competitions, scoring 19 goals during that time.

Huddersfield Town’s Head of Football Operations, Leigh Bromby, commented:

“Steve was going into the final year of his contract and with that in mind this transfer made complete sense for the Club.

“He has certainly created a lot of happy memories with us, so we thank him for that and wish him all the best for the future.”
