Huddersfield Town defender Richard Stearman expressed his disappointment following the Terriers’ 3-0 defeat to Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The Bees scored three second half goals to condemn Town to a second defeat from two games in this season’s Sky Bet Championship.

Stears spoke to #HTTV straight after the final whistle in West London.

“It’s very disappointing. It’s not good enough,” he said.

“That’s two losses on the spin. We’ll continue to work hard on the training pitch and hopefully start picking up some points.”

After a goalless first half, Brentford midfielder Josh Dasilva broke the scoring shortly before the hour mark, with Marcus Forss and Bryan Mbeumo extending the advantage late on.

Town’s no.12 reflected on the Terriers’ performance in their second league outing of the season.

“We have to stick to the game plan.

“We’re obviously trying something completely different to what we had last year, it’s going to take time, and everyone’s got to be patient with it.

“However, I think we showed enough prior to the first goal. It’s going to take some patience, but when we go one goal down, we can’t go two or three down. It’s not acceptable.”
