Another week to secure a seat for 2020/21 after an incredible response from fans!
- Huddersfield Town’s Season Card renewal deadline extended
- Supporters have until 5pm on 11 September 2020 to renew
- Comment from Chief Executive Mark Devlin
The deadline for Huddersfield Town fans to renew their Season Card for the impending 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship season is this Friday (11 September 2020)!
The Club has been blown away by the level of support shown by fans over the last week, with Season Card renewals now surpassing the 10,000 mark.
Chief Executive Mark Devlin commented:
“With all the uncertainty that the pandemic has brought – particularly with no firm date on when fans can return to stadia, although October is the hope – the level of support and commitment that Huddersfield Town fans continue to show the Club is truly incredible.
“On behalf of the Club, I want to take this opportunity to thank every supporter.
“Equally, we’ve had a lot of feedback this week from supporters who are still weighing up whether or not to renew in the current climate. It’s clear that personal circumstances are still changing and that some people are very understandably wanting to leave their decision until they know as much as they can about their situation.
“As such, we’ve taken the decision to extend the renewal deadline until Friday 11 September; right before our first home game in the league against Norwich City. We hope this gives as many supporters as possible time to weigh up what is right for them.”
Supporters renewing after 5pm on Sunday 6 September 2020 - be aware that you will not receive a code to watch the home game against Norwich City for free on iFollow.
Due to the logistics and processes that the Club needs to carry out to send unique codes to the 10,000+ supporters who have already renewed their Season Card, that data must be extracted on the morning of Monday 7 September 2020. Any cards renewed after the new deadline will not be included in this initial set of data.
Any supporters who renew their Season Card between 5.01pm on Sunday 6 September and the new deadline of 5pm on Friday 11 September will receive their first code for the home game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday 26 September 2020.
An update on plans
The Club is still finalising plans for admitting supporters back into the John Smith’s Stadium when Government guidance allows.
In order to maximise the Stadium’s capacity under social distancing guidelines, the Club will be contacting Season Card holders in due course for information on who is in their social ‘bubble’ as per the Government’s definition and detailing the code of conduct for attending games.
Renewing your seat for next season, regardless of which stand your seat is in, will cost:
ADULTS - £249
SENIORS (OVER-60) - £249
UNDER-18S - £129
UNDER-8S - £49
Ambulant disabled supporters and wheelchair users should pay their relevant price class and a free Personal Assistant
If you do have a query that needs personal assistance, we do have staff working from home who can help you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact details and we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.
Our staff in the Ticket Office are working flat-out to reply to supporters currently; please bear with them whilst they work through queries.
What does the 2020/21 season look like?
The Club are still waiting for confirmation regarding the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign, but all indications are that the season will start behind-closed-doors with the prospect of live football, subject to Government legislation, in October but with reduced socially distanced capacity.
The Club would use all four stands inside the John Smith’s Stadium so as many supporters can watch the Terriers as safely as possible.
Until 100% capacity is allowed back in Stadia, no away fans will be able to travel to the John Smith’s Stadium.
As we wait for the return of supporters in stadia, the behind-closed-doors games will be shown on iFollow HTAFC.
2020/21 Season Card holders will be allocated a code to watch all home league games on iFollow HTAFC, as well as the Club’s seven away league midweek games (excluding the Easter Monday game at Norwich). You will receive a new code for each game.
Under-18 Season Card holders will also receive an iFollow code, but an adult will have to register for an iFollow account on their behalf.
Unfortunately, the EFL’s broadcast agreement with Sky Sports means that weekend away game can’t be given to Season Card holders for free.
Non-Season Card holders would have to pay £10 per match to watch the Terriers on iFollow HTAFC. Games that are selected for broadcast on Sky Sports will not be available to non-Season Card holders on iFollow HTAFC.
Season Card Price Promise
Huddersfield Town Chairman Phil Hodgkinson will freeze the price of Season Cards to all supporters who renew for the 2020/21 campaign for the following THREE seasons.
Supporters who request a refund for the 2020/21 campaign, will not benefit from the price freeze.
How will the Club decide which supporters can watch Town at the John Smith’s Stadium?
The Club is currently working on plans for supporters to be able to return to Stadia.
A ballot has been suggested, with feedback on this gained from the ATT panel and via HTSA supporter surveys. If fans are not selected in the first ballot, they will be given priority to watch the next home game to ensure all Season Card holders watch as even a number of home games as is possible.
Should a certain number of supporters be allowed to re-enter the John Smith’s Stadium, then the Club is unable to guarantee any supporter’s seat due to social distancing restrictions.
Seating will be allocated by the Club at the balloting stage. Until social bubble numbers are confirmed we cannot confirm capacities for areas.
This plan is currently a work in progress and more details regarding this will be released when the Club knows more.
How will I access games on iFollow HTAFC?

If I don’t renew, will I lose my seat for the 2021/22 campaign?
Everyone at the Club understands how difficult this period is for Huddersfield Town supporters.
If you don’t renew for the 2020/21 campaign, don’t worry, you will still have the opportunity to keep your seat for the 2021/22 season when they go on sale in 2021 or to purchase a Season Card at a revised price should full stadia capacity be restored.
I’m a hospitality guest, what does that mean for me?
The Club’s Commercial Team will be in touch with hospitality guests to discuss the 2020/21 campaign.
