New loan signing Carel Eiting can’t wait to challenge himself in the Sky Bet Championship with Huddersfield Town.
Carel, who completed his loan move from Ajax, has had experience of football in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.
Now he’s ready to experience regular First Team football and challenge himself with the physical demands of the Sky Bet Championship.
“I’m really happy and excited to play,” said Carel.
“I was curious about how they do things here, about the Championship, about the level and the intensity; there were a few things why my heart wanted to come here.
“One of the main reasons why I’m here is because I want to develop physically, and I think this is the perfect place to do that.
“I’m 100% fit and I need the games; I want the games. I played a lot of games last year and I want to play as much as possible; this is the perfect opportunity.”
Despite featuring in the Netherlands top-flight last season, Carel explained why he was so keen to come to the Club.
“The move happened really quickly, I talked to the Coach, people at the Club and they gave me a really good feeling. You don’t need too long then to make the decision.
“We talked about the way of playing, the intentions; they are the most important thing. I liked the ideas.”
But what kind of player is Carel Eiting?
“They can expect a guy who wants the ball, who wants to move the ball forwards as quick as possible and someone who wants to help the team in every possible way,” said the 22-year-old.
