Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has taken a lot of positives out of a spirited performance against Norwich City.

Despite going toe-to-toe with the newly relegated Premier League side, the Terriers fell to defeat following an error with around 10 minutes to go.

When speaking after the game, Town’s Head Coach explained that he was pleased with the work his side put in and how they grasped the new style of play.

“The team showed the spirit we wanted today and a performance, which is the positive, but the result is the negative.

“We will continue growing and learn from today’s game. A point would have been positive.

“We were always in the game and we didn’t give up after conceding, but we couldn’t do enough to change the result.”

“We defended very aggressively and pressed high. Norwich pressed well too and forced us long at times.

“We want to create more chances and arrive into the last minutes with the chance to change the result.”

With chances few and far between for both sides, there was one determining moment with 10 minutes to go when Adam Idah scored.

“We won’t be focusing on the individual mistakes of any player, as a team, and at the end, football is a collective sport,” said Carlos.

“I think this team did a very good game. We had this mistake, but we tried to help each other after it. The solidarity will help us. The solidarity is key for the style.”

Town’s Head Coach brought a new high-intensity style of play to the Club and was impressed with his side’s desire to put that into place.

“Today the team felt that this was the level of effort we need in the Championship.

“The most important thing is to find the effort and energy that the Championship demands.

“Only through this you can keep putting in good performances and getting results.”
