Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán knows his side must be at its best to beat Nottingham Forest.

The Terriers face the Tricky Trees in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday (25 September 2020) as both sides look for their first goal and win in the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Ahead of Nottingham Forest’s visit, Carlos Corberán gave his thoughts on Sabri Lamouchi’s side.

“They had an important season last season and nearly reached the play-offs; they were a really strong team last year.

“They've continued with the same manager and the same ideas, so that gives them stability.

“They haven’t started well, not because they didn’t create chances, because they continued playing the same way they were playing at the end of last season.

“They have important players offensively in the team. After their two defeats they tried to add new players; this week they signed three. They have tried to improve their squad and be stronger in defence too.

“They're going to demand the best of us but that's what we want. We're looking forward to the game tomorrow.”

Town are yet to score a goal this season, but the Terriers’ Head Coach has confidence in his forwards to put that right.

“Every game you don't score people have doubts about the offensive options of the team, but I've seen that a lot of times in my career or when I'm watching football; it's normal.

“Our focus is to score goals and create chances. The more chances we create the more options we have to score goals.

“I have no doubts about the goalscoring ability of our strikers. I've watched a lot of Koroma's goals, Campbell's goals, and we need to add goals from Pritchard, Mbenza, Diakhaby and Bacuna too.”

Since the appointment of Corberán, Town have been developing a new style of play. Despite this, the Head Coach is keen to make supporters happy by collecting points.

“We only had two pre-season friendlies and we've spent time analysing the players' performances last season but it's not the same as analysing games from this season.

“Every game gives us the opportunity to grow as a team. In the league you know every game is the opportunity to add points and we know that for the fans every win helps people.

“You're helping people feel happy and feel confident in the team. We want to do that; we want to give our best and help the fans feel good about us.”
