TOWN FOUNDATION’S MENTAL HEALTH FOOTBALL SESSIONS PROVING A SUCCESS

5 October 2020

Weekly sessions benefit local people

- Programme encourages social interaction and relationship building
- Physical element also beneficial to maintaining mental health
- Find out how you can get involved

The Huddersfield Town Foundation has resumed delivery of its weekly Mental Health Football sessions over the past month!

Designed to give participants both physical and mental exercise, the sessions use the power of the sport to bring people together.

The Foundation recognises the importance of physical activity for mental wellbeing. Given that mental health issues increase the risk of developing cardiovascular and respiratory disease, the programme aims to support both good mental and physical health for all.
