Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán says that Christopher Schindler, Lewis O’Brien and Alex Pritchard will all be fit enough to face Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

The trio have completed two weeks of training over the international break and speaking in his virtual press conference on Thursday afternoon, Carlos says all three will be ready to play if they are selected at the weekend.

Captain Christopher Schindler and Alex Pritchard missed the Rotherham game last time out through respective injuries whilst Lewis O’Brien is yet to make an outing for Town in the opening weeks of the 2020/21 season.

Town’s Head Coach gave an update on all three players and looked back on a positive period on the training pitch over the international break.

“With the conditions we had in this pre-season, this period of time was fantastic for us. We could spend two weeks working with the players and at the same time, we have recovered some players that we had out injured,” he said.

“Lewis O’Brien has started to be introduced as part of the squad. He has completed two weeks something that he didn’t do with us yet so that’s positive.

“At the same time, we recovered some players that had problems like (Christopher) Schindler. He completed two weeks of work too.

“Alex Pritchard is the same situation as Schindler. He missed one game because he had a small injury but after he missed Rotherham, he started to work normally with the group.

“He’s going to be in the squad for the next game.”

One player that Town will be without for the trip to South Wales is Danny Ward who is continuing his recovery from a hamstring problem.

Carlos provided an update on the forward’s progress.

“Danny Ward is a different situation.

“He’s the only player we couldn’t recover. It’s taking a little bit longer than we thought for the recovery.

“I don’t think we’ll have him in the next two weeks, but I know the medical staff are working with him close to accelerate this process because he’s an important player for us.”

When addressing the media prior to Saturday’s game, Town’s Head Coach also spoke about how Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Ryan Schofield are getting on in their recoveries from respective injuries.

“Rarmani Edmonds-Green is continuing the process he had from the last injury he had. He continues to work with the physios to be ready to come back to the team.

“It’s positive with Ryan Schofield. He has progressed very well and now he has started to work with the group during this week.

“This week, he has started to save the ball and started to be introduced with the team again so that’s very positive for us.”
