Huddersfield are back in Sky Bet Championship action with a trip to The Den to face Millwall on Saturday 31 October 2020; 3pm kick-off.

The Terriers will be looking respond from their midweek defeat to Birmingham City and return to winning ways against the Lions.

Carlos Corberan’s side go into the clash in London having taken four points from a possible nine in the last three outings away from the John Smith’s Stadium.

Saturday night’s match is the second of two games on the road this week for the Terriers, following the midweek trip to Birmingham City.

THE OPPOSITION

Manager Gary Rowett has now been at the Club for over a year and is experiencing his first full season as a manager there.

The Englishman has overseen a strong campaign for the Lions who currently sit fourth after the opening eight games. After taking over in October 2019, Rowett will be looking to build on last year’s impressive campaign where they finished eighth.

At home this season, the Lions have only won one of their four games, drawing the other three; that means they’re still unbeaten at The Den this season!

On their travels, they’ve won three of their last four games. Their only defeat in the current campaign has come against Swansea City.

FORM GUIDE

After going into the international break off the back of a defeat, Millwall have since taken 13 points from their last five fixtures having won four and drawn one since returning to action.

The Lions go into Saturday’s encounter having picked up three points in their midweek fixture away from home to Preston North End. Top scorer Jed Wallace scored his fourth of the campaign, whilst summer signing Kenneth Zohore grabbed his first goal for Millwall.

As for Town, the Terriers will be looking to get back to winning ways after falling to defeat against Preston North End and Birmingham City in the build up to this match.

ONES TO WATCH

Jed Wallace

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a solid start to the season becoming the Lions top scorer in the early part of the season, currently scoring four goals for his side. Playing down the right wing Millwall’s no.7 has scored three of his four goals this season away from home.

Connor Mahoney

The 23-year-old winger joined Millwall in the summer of 2019 and has gone from strength-to-strength with the Lions. He’s got one goal and one assist to his name this season and has flourished under the guidance of Gary Rowett.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS

It’s the Terriers who have edged the record against the Lions over the years winning 21 of the 47 encounters to Millwall’s 19, with the other seven being drawn.

Recent history in the fixture has gone in Town’s favour, with only one defeat for the Terriers in the last seven meetings dating back to April 2013.
