Lewis O’Brien was delighted with Huddersfield Town’s team performance as the Terriers ran out 3-0 winners against Millwall.

Two late goals, one of which was scored by Lewis, sealed the victory in the Capital and Town returned to winning ways in the Sky Bet Championship.

“It felt brilliant,” said Lewis. “It felt like finally everything had come together.”

“A solid defensive performance, the midfield was solid in defence, and playing into the third, and then obviously the attack carried loads of threat; they helped out in the defence throughout the game.

“It felt good that everything came together.”

Town controlled large spells at The Den and Lewis was quick to heap praise on Carlos Corberán for the way the Terriers expertly managed the game.

“The Boss puts us in the best possible situation for everything they would throw at us.

“We knew at the start of the game they would try to pass it a lot and if they did go behind, they’d go for the long option. It showed today we were prepared for everything.”

The midfielder grabbed his first goal of the 2020/21 campaign and detailed how integral his role in the new system was in that.

“I don’t score much but in the new system they want me to play box-to-box as much as I can and to be explosive.

“So as soon as I saw the ball break, last year I might have sat back and let Bacca do what he’s best at, but I thought I’d try and get into the box and get my first of the season, which I did.”
