Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán is hoping his side can build on their first win of the season when they make the trip to South Yorkshire to face Rotherham United on Saturday.
The Terriers go into the game at the AESSEAL New York Stadium off the back of a first win under the Spaniard against Nottingham Forest last time out.
Looking ahead to the Terriers’ next assignment against the Millers on Saturday, Carlos expressed his desire for Town to use the victory against Forest to keep growing as a team.
Town’s Head Coach urged his side to make last weekend’s win just a starting point, during his virtual press conference on Thursday afternoon.
“Now, we have to learn and improve from this game, and continue to be competitive in the league,” he said.
“It’s important that we continue to feel very ambitious and to try and face the game with the same spirit and the same mentality.”
Saturday’s trip to Rotherham will be the Spaniard’s first competitive experience of a Yorkshire derby.
Speaking to the media, Carlos explained what kind of test he expects when his side lock horns with Paul Warne’s Millers on Saturday.
“It will be very different and very tough.
“I’ve watched a team (in Rotherham) that haven’t conceded many chances, it shows that they are a very difficult team to play against.
“They have been working with the same coach for the last four or five years. They are fighting a lot for each ball, a lot for each point.
“It’s going to be very tough and very demanding for us. It’ll be a clear battle and we need to be ready to face this.”
