Yorkshire Air Ambulance is the second of three charities to appear on the Terriers’ jerseys
- Yorkshire Air Ambulance to appear as Huddersfield Town’s sponsor on Tuesday evening
- Logo to appear on the Terriers’ match-worn shirts against Wycombe Wanderers
- Local businesses can still purchase tickets for front of shirt sponsorship for home matches
Huddersfield Town’s First Team will proudly wear the Yorkshire Air Ambulance on the front of their shirts during their midweek Sky Bet Championship match against Wycombe Wanderers.
The Club announced earlier this month that for all away matches they will be giving exposure to three fantastic local charities on the front of their away shirts.
The Town Foundation was the first to appear on the Club’s match-worn jerseys against Stoke City, and the next will be Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) on the front of the Terriers’ yellow and purple third shirt when they travel to face Wycombe on Tuesday!
In case you didn’t already know, the YAA is an independent charity that provides rapid lifesaving response emergency service to five million people across the whole of Yorkshire.
The Charity currently attend an average of four incidents every day, and last year alone they responded to 61 incidents in the Huddersfield area.
And to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances maintained, the YAA needs to raise £12,000 every single day, which equates to £4.4 million a year, largely coming from the generosity of donors and supporters.
The Club has been proud to help generate support for the YAA over their 11-year partnership, with over £1 million of vital funds raised through the ‘Keep It Up campaign’ and other initiatives.
The YAA logo returns to the front of the Huddersfield Town jersey this autumn for the first time since 2010, which will provide fantastic exposure for the Charity and the great work that they do, especially during a time when many UK charities are at a heightened need of support.
Kate Collinson, Corporate and Partnership Manager for the YAA, said: “We are proud to celebrate 11 years of a very special partnership with Huddersfield Town, and we’re indebted to the Club and their fans for their continued support and generosity over the last decade.
“The £1 million raised through the ‘Keep It Up campaign’ and other fundraising activity over the years has greatly contributed towards the £12,000 a day it costs to keep our helicopters flying over Yorkshire and saving lives.
“It is great to see the return of the YAA logo on the kit this year and we would like to thank the club for another exciting opportunity.”
