Huddersfield Town defender Harry Toffolo achieved an incredible personal accolade against Millwall, when he made is 100th consecutive EFL start!
The 25-year-old’s magnificent run started at Lincoln City in Sky Bet League Two and continues today in the Sky Bet Championship with Town.
Toffolo’s streak began when he left Millwall in 2018 and hit 100 against the Lions at the Den! He explained how delighted he was to hit this mark.
“Against Millwall I hit 100 consecutive league starts in the EFL, which is a very special moment for me, especially since they have come over three EFL divisions as well!
“It was incredibly special and what makes it even more special is that I hit this milestone against Millwall; the Club that I left to begin to build this milestone. It’s strange how things like that work out.
“It has taken a lot of preparation off the pitch and my performances on the pitch to reach this milestone; it’s good to see all your hard work and dedication paying off!”
The defender admits that his home life has been huge motivation to him in helping to get to this milestone.
“I had two very young kids when I was at Lincoln and played my first EFL game and I had to knuckle down.
“I realised I had to work really hard because I wanted to give them the best possible life and it’s just taken me to this point here now where I’m extremely proud to have my 100 consecutive game here at Huddersfield Town.”
