Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán knows that Cardiff City will be tough competition on Tuesday evening.

The Terriers travel to Cardiff to take on a team who sit just one point below them in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Bluebirds come into Tuesday evening’s game off the back of a 4-0 win over Luton Town. Speaking to the press, Carlos gave his thoughts on Town’s opponents.

“I wasn’t surprised by Cardiff’s win at the weekend.

“They’re playing the same way that they played last year, and I think they finished the season really well last season.

“They’ve signed new players that have made them a lot stronger and they’re a team that can score goals within minutes if you lose focus because they have a lot of possession when it comes to their attack.

“They have these powerful strengths in the front, they’re a strong team, and for me, when you play a team that were in the play-offs last year, you expect that.”

Town’s Head Coach also gave an update on his team’s injuries during his virtual press conference.

“Richard Stearman is going to have a scan today, so we know what’s happened to his hamstring. I expect him to be out between 10 days and two weeks.

“He’s been one of the important players, but at the same time we have to be prepared for these things because we know they can happen. We hope that he’ll only be out for the minimum number of games, but we have to be ready to adapt.

“Ben Hamer is back in contention. He’s completed the training he needs to do to be available to be in the squad tomorrow.

“Today will be the first training session with the group that Alex Pritchard and Pipa will be involved in. They won’t be available to play Cardiff, but if all goes well, they’ll be ready for QPR.

“Christopher Schindler has one last test that he needs to pass to be able to train with the group. He’s doing the test today and if it’s positive, he will train and travel with the squad.”
