2020 draw winner named as Katharine Broadbent
- Blue & White Foundation makes annual £20,000 draw
- One lucky Town fan wins big!
- Huddersfield Town’s Lewis O’Brien, Romoney Crichlow and Leigh Bromby participated in Q+A
One lucky Huddersfield Town fan got the shock of her life when she found out she’d won £20,000 from the Blue & White Foundation’s £20k draw!
The Blue & White Foundation’s 17th annual prize draw took place virtually this year, with Katharine Broadbent winning the top prize.
Amazingly, Katharine is the mum of former Town Academy graduate and player Daniel Broadbent, who was on the Club’s books for almost a decade before leaving in 2009. That’s particularly poignant, given that the proceeds from the Blue & White Foundation go towards supporting the Huddersfield Town Academy.
After picking up the cheque at the John Smith’s Stadium, Katharine said:
“I still can’t believe that we’ve won it. We’ve been members for so long; it’s just amazing really.
“I’ll be honest, at first when I got the phone call, I didn’t believe it! We looked on YouTube to double check it and now we’ve got the cheque in our hands!
“The family will benefit massively from this!”
Katharine’s husband, Neil, added:
“We joined the Blue & White Foundation when it started back when our son, Danny, started playing for Huddersfield Town.
“We wanted to support the Academy and the Club through its hard times, and we’ve seen first-hand how good the Academy is and how the money is helping.
“All the family are Huddersfield Town fans and we are really pleased that we are seeing young players come through and to play in the First Team.”
Another 10 Blue & White Foundation members received runners-up prizes of £500 too; a full list of winners is below.
