Karlan Grant has had many highlights since joining the Terriers and Town fans can now indulge in looking back at some of his best moments on #HTTV!
Karlan made the move to the John Smith’s Stadium from Charlton Athletic back in January 2019 in the midst of Town’s second year in the Premier League.
The forward settled in quickly scoring his first Town goal in his second appearance, in a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal, showing early on his goal scoring capabilities in the top tier of English Football.
Talking to HTTV about his first goal, Karlan expressed just how big a moment this was in his career.
“It’s a massive moment, now I’ve scored in every football league in England; that’s a big achievement.
“From scoring down at League 2 to then working my way up to the Premier League having scored in every league along the way; it’s a massive achievement for me.”
For the rest of the season, despite the tough opposition Town faced, Grant still manged to show his attacking prowess, scoring three more goals before the season was through. Two of which he scored against West Ham, one of them was an absolute belter of a goal.
He’d already slotted in the goal that put Town 2-1 up in the first half, but that just wasn’t enough. In the second half Grant found himself on the ball, running at the West Ham back four, he drove forward and struck the ball from outside the box. The exquisite shot curled and dipped into the top right corner out of Fabianski’s reach; Grant’s best goal in blue & white stripes.
Grant only continued to make strides when Town returned to the Sky Bet Championship. He’s scored an impressive 16 goals in his 34 league appearances.
