Huddersfield Town travel to Elland Road on Saturday 7 March 2020 for a 3pm kick-off against Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship.

Town will be looking to build on their current run as they go into the weekend’s fixture off the back of two consecutive home victories against Bristol City and Charlton Athletic.

The Whites also come into this game off the back of a 4-0 win over Hull City. Marcelo Biesla’s side have won their last four games and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games.

In the reverse fixture in December 2019, Town were beaten 2-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Ahead of this weekend’s fixture, Leeds sit second in the Sky Bet Championship, putting them in the automatic promotion places just behind West Bromwich Albion.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be hoping to continue their winning ways, having won 20 games out of 36 so far, the most won by any team in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

The Whites have a solid form on home ground, having gained 31 out their 68 points at Elland Road.

Since the turn of the year, the promotion hopefuls have won five games and grabbed 17 points.

The centre-forward signed for Leeds United from Middlesbrough ahead of the 2018/19 season. He’s been a mainstay of Marcelo Biesla’s starting XI so far, making 34 out of a possible 36 starts. He’s currently the Whites’ top goal scorer of the season on 12 goals, he’s also bagged three assists.

The Portgual international joined on a season long loan ahead of the 2019/20 season. The winger has made his mark at Elland Road, appearing in all 36 games so far, and his deal will become permanent in July 2020. He’s the first player to wear the Whites’ number 17 shirt since 2014.

Manager Danny Cowley will detail Huddersfield Town’s latest team news at his press conference on Friday 6 March 2020.

Danny was without Tommy Elphick (knee), Jonathan Hogg (knee) and Andy King (hamstring) in their game against Charlton Athletic.

January signing Jean-Kevin Augustin (hamstring), Ryan Edmondson (knee), Leif Davis (knee) and Adam Forshaw (hip) are all unlikely to feature for the Whites.

Kiko Casilla will also be unavailable for selection due to an eight-match ban for racist language.
