PREVIEW: NOTTINGHAM FOREST (A)

23 June 2020

Town travel to the City Ground on Sunday 28 June 2020

- Preview ahead of Nottingham Forest vs Huddersfield Town
- A look at Sabri Lamouchi’s side
- Game to be broadcast live on Sky Sports

Huddersfield Town make the trip over to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday 28 June 2020; 2.15pm kick-off.

Danny Cowley’s side will be looking to pick up their first points since the restart, following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic in the first game back after the season’s three-month postponement.

The fixture will be the first of two away games in the space of three days for the Terriers with a trip to Birmingham City on the following Wednesday.

Town came out winners in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, overcoming Forest 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium back in December, courtesy of goals from Christopher Schindler and Steve Mounié.

The second meeting between the two sides this season will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on Sunday.

THE OPPOSITION

Sabri Lamouchi’s side will also be looking for their first three points since the season’s resumption when they return to home soil on Sunday.

A last gasp equaliser from Sheffield Wednesday’s Connor Wickham meant that they were held to a 1-1 draw with the Owls in their first game back at the weekend.

Despite that late goal, they still occupy a Play-Off spot as they currently sit fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table with 61 points from their 38 games.

Forest will play without their home fans inside the Stadium for the first time on Sunday and will be in search of a first win in four games at the City Ground.

Forward Lewis Grabban is the Club’s top scorer this season with 17 Sky Bet Championship goals, the third highest scorer in the league behind only Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrović (23) and Brentford’s Ollie Watkins (22).

ONES TO WATCH

Joe Worrall

Defender Joe Worrall is the only Forest player to have appeared in every single one of the Club’s Sky Bet Championship games so far this season. After loan spells with Dagenham & Redbridge and Rangers since his professional Forest debut in 2016, the Club’s Academy graduate has established himself as a First Team regular at the heart of the Tricky Trees back-line in 2019/20. Worrall scored Forest’s goal in the reverse fixture at the John Smith’s Stadium earlier this season.

Joe Lolley

Lolley is a familiar name to Huddersfield Town fans having spent four years with the Club between 2014 and 2018. Since moving to Forest in 2018, the winger has racked up over a century of appearances for the Club in all competitions and picked up the Club’s Player of the Season award in 2018/19. The 27-year-old has eight Championship goals to his name this season with the latest of those coming in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

Lewis Grabban

The forward is enjoying another prolific season in his 15-year professional career to date, scoring 17 times for the Reds this campaign. That already matches his total tally from last season, having signed for the Club in the summer of 2018 from AFC Bournemouth. Grabban’s highest single-season scoring tally in the Championship is 22, achieved whilst playing for AFC Bournemouth in 2013/14.
