Huddersfield Town supporters can now re-live the Terriers’ triumphant 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic in FULL!
Danny Cowley’s side started on the front foot and eventually took the lead just before the half hour mark.
Karlan Grant, who joined Town from Charlton in January 2019, came back to haunt his old side. He intercepted a loose pass in the Addicks’ penalty area and coolly fired past Dillon Phillips to give the hosts the lead.
The Terriers continued to create chances and eventually doubled their lead in the 75th minute thanks to Steve Mounié, just moments after he’d come on as a substitute!
After a neat passage of play, Harry Toffolo’s cross was touched in off the chest of the Benin international.
In the 90th minute, Grant bagged his brace, and his 16th of the season. He was slipped into the area by Juninho Bacuna, cut inside his man, and rifled an effort into the back of the net.
Town weren’t finished there! Bacca went from provider to goal scorer. He powered a terrific effort into the top corner, from 25-yards-out, to round off a perfect afternoon for Danny Cowley’s side at the John Smith’s Stadium.
