Huddersfield Town winger Chris Willock has praised the Terriers’ efforts after taking a point from the Madejski Stadium following a 0-0 draw with Reading.

Neither side could break the deadlock in Berkshire with Town keeping a third successive Sky Bet Championship clean sheet.

Willock was a threat going forward for Town throughout and insists both he and his teammates can take confidence from their performance.

Catching up with #HTTV after the game, the winger shared his thoughts on the Terriers’ showing.

“I think the boys did well. I think we created a lot of chances, we dictated play and we can take confidence from this.

“I thought everyone put their body on the line today. I thought the defenders were absolutely immense, defending, blocking shots.

“I thought the whole team defended very well.”

From an individual standpoint, Willock returned to the Town starting XI for the game at the Madejski Stadium; his third start since the season’s resumption.

Town’s number 10 looked back on his performance upon his return to the side.

“I felt really good tonight. I think the boys ahead of me; Steve (Mounié), Emile (Smith Rowe), Karlan (Grant) – I thought they played really well. We linked up very well.

“We also had Kingy (Andy King) and Hoggy (Jonathan Hogg) behind us so there was good stability.

“It’s good to play with these players sort of players. I think we connect well, we have a good understanding together and we bounce off each other well.”

Having added another point to the tally, Town’s attention turns to Friday night’s clash with Luton Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Willock insists the Terriers will go into the game in good spirits after picking up a point in Berkshire.

“The boys have confidence.

“We’ve kept three good clean sheets, we’ve looked solid at the back, and today we attacked really well so I think there’s nothing but confidence going into the game on Friday and hopefully we can get the win.”
