- Comments from Academy Manager Emyr Humphreys

Young Huddersfield Town striker Kit Elliott will join Cork City on loan until the end of their season in November 2020.

The 19-year-old striker, who signed his first professional contract with the Club back in November, will now join the League of Ireland Premier Division side to gain a further taste of men’s football.

This is Kit’s third taste of senior football after impressing at both Darlington and Concord Rangers.

The youngster will now join up with Neale Fenn’s side who currently sit ninth in the league with just three points from their first five league games.

Kit was previously part of the Academy set-up at Chelsea and Crystal Palace before moving up north to Huddersfield.

Huddersfield Town’s Academy Manager Emyr Humphreys commented:

“We feel that this is the next step in Kit’s development both on and off the pitch.

“This move ticks a lot of boxes for us as it will provide Kit with a number of difference experiences; moving to a different country, getting used to a different style of football and playing at a really competitive level.

“This gives him a chance to show what he can do, and I can’t wait to see him excel at Cork City.”
