KIAN HARRATT RE-JOINS HARROGATE FOR THE PLAY-OFFS

Young striker returns on loan to Vanarama National League side

Young Huddersfield Town striker Kian Harratt has re-joined Harrogate Town on loan for the Vanarama National League Play-Offs, subject to EFL clearance.

The 18-year-old made his loan switch to Harrogate in January 2020, originally for just a month, but it didn’t take them long to ask to extend his loan for the rest of the campaign!

Kian went on to make seven appearances for the Club and has scored one goal, which came against Guiseley in the County Cup. He also has one assist to his name.

After the 2019/20 Vanarama National League season was curtailed, Harrogate Town sat in second place just four points behind Champions Barrow.

That means that Simon Weaver’s side will face either Boreham Wood or Halifax Town in the one-legged Play-Off Semi-Final. The match will take place on Saturday 25 July 2020 and kick-off at 2.30pm.

Kian joined Town’s Under-17s in the summer of 2018 and was prolific for the Club’s Academy. He regularly trained with Danny Cowley’s First Team squad and made his debut for the Terriers earlier this season against Leeds United in December 2019.

Huddersfield Town Academy Manager Emyr Humphreys commented:

“We are delighted that Harrogate Town have asked for Kian to re-join them for a vital part of their season.

“Being part of a Play-Off campaign, with the chance of being promoted into the EFL on the line, will be a magnificent experience for him and something he can take a lot from.

“I would like to wish both Kian and Harrogate the best of look as they luck to win promotion to League 2.”
