Huddersfield Town supporters can now watch back all the best bits from the Terriers’ 3-0 win over Birmingham City at St Andrew’s on Wednesday evening!
The victory was Town’s first since the restart of the Sky Bet Championship season and first on the road since January!
Despite Danny Cowley’s side being on their travels, they looked at home right from the first minute at the St Andrew’s Trophy Trillion Stadium.
The Terriers’ early attacking threat was rewarded in the 10th minute of the game when Karlan Grant, who had already tried his luck twice in the opening minutes, was brought down inside the area by Harlee Dean.
Having been awarded a penalty by referee Rob Jones, Grant picked himself up and found the net from the spot, just as he did at Forest three days earlier, to put Town ahead.
Having gone into the break ahead, Town had an opportunity to double that lead when the referee pointed to the spot for a second time shortly after half-time.
This time it was Captain Christopher Schindler who was wrestled to the ground by Gary Gardner, but unlike in the first half, Lee Camp got the better of Grant to keep his spot-kick out.
Town didn’t let the penalty save affect them however, getting the second goal almost straight after. Harry Toffolo’s free-kick from the left picked out Fraizer Campbell who marked his 300th career league appearance with a finish into the bottom corner, doubling Town’s lead.
From a similar position came a third for the Terriers on 72 minutes. Toffolo’s floated ball to the back post found the head of substitute Steve Mounié who glanced it back across goal for Elias Kachunga to nod into an empty net.
