The win took Huddersfield Town into the top 10 of the Premier League after 11 games of the 2017/18 season.
Rajiv van La Parra scored the only goal of the game, curling a superb effort into the top corner from 20-yards out just before half-time.
Christopher Schindler was sent off in the second half, but the Terriers remained resolute and were able to keep a clean sheet, collecting all three points.
