Huddersfield Town Women have had success in the SSE Women’s FA Cup over recent seasons, reaching the Fifth Round of the competition during the 2018/19 campaign. They were beaten by Women’s Super League side West Ham United, which was full of international starts.

Ashley Vickers’ side has continued to do well in the cup competition this season. They beat Stoke City in the Second Round on penalties before producing a magnificent comeback against Loughborough Foxes to progress into the Fourth Round.

The Women will be looking to replicate last year’s successes by progressing to the Fifth Round, however, Ipswich Town Women stand in their way. This is the first time the Tractors Girls have reached for the Fourth Round of the competition, they beat Portsmouth in the last round.

Ipswich Town Women are currently a division below the Terriers, competing in the FA Women’s National League Division 1 South East (fourth tier of Women’s football).

However, they have excelled so far this season sitting top of their division with 25 points from 10 games, only losing once.

Huddersfield Town Women currently sit sixth in the FA Women’s National League - Northern Premier Division Table. The Terriers have picked up 16 points from nine games.
