Huddersfield Town has this evening completed the signing of experienced centre back Richard Stearman.
The 32-year-old arrives with close to 500 competitive First Team appearances under his belt, over 80% of which have come in the Premier League and the Sky Bet Championship.
He joins the Club as a free agent, having been released from former club Sheffield United by mutual consent today, and has put pen-to-paper on an initial 18-month contract running until the summer of 2021.
Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley commented:
“Richard brings experience and leadership qualities that will definitely add to our dressing room.
“He was a key component of creating an outstanding culture at Sheffield United and he’ll provide a fantastic example for our young professionals day in and day out.
“On the pitch, he’s positionally intelligent, physically robust and a great communicator.”
