The Big Chant is back for a third year, in collaboration with Musica Kirklees!
The Big Chant aims to engage local school children in creative musical composition based on chants from the stands at Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium.
Previous year’s competitions have seen over 2,300 children from more than 50 different schools across Kirklees take part.
The 2019 winners were Marsden Junior School with their Town-themed interpretation of Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings, complete with break dancing and expert flossing! They saw off fierce competition from the likes of Crossley Fields, Linthwaite Clough and Highbank.
