Young defender to gain regular First Team experience

- Rarmani Edmonds-Green joins Swindon
- Young centre-back to gain regular football in Sky Bet League 2
- Comments from Manager Danny Cowley

Huddersfield Town defender Rarmani Edmonds-Green has today joined Sky Bet League 2 side Swindon Town on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

The 20-year-old centre-back will join Richie Wellens’ side who currently sit top of Sky Bet League 2 with 53 points from 27 games.

A Huddersfield Town Academy graduate, Rams already has senior experience following previous loan spells at Brighouse Town and Bromley. The move to the fourth-tier of English football will provide him with the next step.

The youngster was recalled from his spell at National League side Bromley in December and went on to make his Huddersfield Town league debut a couple of weeks later. He started at right-back in the Terriers’ 1-0 win away at Charlton Athletic.

Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley commented:

“This is a really good opportunity for Rarmani.

“From a selfish point of view, we wanted to keep him close. He’s a great kid, a great trainer and is really good around the place.

“We had to put the future first and you have to take a long-term view whenever possible, which is why we’ve sent him out on loan.

“This is a great step for him. Swindon are fighting at the top of League 2 and it’ll be a fantastic experience.

“The loan will then provide us with clarity in the summer of what his next stepping stone is.”
