Huddersfield Town forward Josh Koroma has joined Sky Bet League 1 leaders Rotherham United on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

The 21-year-old joined Town from Leyton Orient in the summer and has since gone on to make nine appearances for the Terriers. His last start came halfway through December against Wigan Athletic.

Prior to joining Town, Josh scored 11 times and contributed a further seven assists to help Orient become 2018/19 Vanarama National League champions.

Josh will now join the Millers from the remainder of the campaign under the stewardship of Paul Warne.

Rotherham United currently sit top of Sky Bet League 1 with 50 points from 28 games, ahead of second-placed Wycombe Wanderers on goal difference.

Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley commented:

“Josh is a really talented boy and we’ve been working hard with him on the training pitch to add different elements to his game.

“This is a good opportunity for him to make the next step in his development and to get regular minutes under his belt at a good standard in League 1.

“Rotherham are fighting for promotion, which will be a good experience for him, and we hope he will come back to us in the summer an even better player.”

Josh’s contract at Huddersfield Town runs until the summer of 2022, with the Club having the option of a further season’s extension.
