Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jonas Lössl is delighted to be back at a club close to his heart.

The Danish international, who was a fans’ favourite at Huddersfield Town, left in the summer after a two-year spell with the Club.

When speaking to #HTTV, he explained how happy he is to be back with the Terriers.

“I’m really happy, it feels like I’m coming back to part of my life here. I really feel at home.

“I followed the Club closely and when they called, I wasn’t in doubt. I need to play a bit more again. To come here and help build something again is really big for me.

“Huddersfield has a special place in my heart. The things we experienced those two seasons, the ups and downs, we did that together all the way.”

Jonas will work closely with Head of Goalkeeping Paul Clements – a relationship that flourished during Town’s years in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old explained how working with ‘Clem’ was one of the main reasons for his return.

“It’s definitely a big plus for me. I can’t wait to start working with him on Monday.

“He was so important for my period here. I had such a good relationship with him.

“He helped me with aspects of my game, helped me perform and I’m really proud of my two seasons here; he was a major part of that.”

The Danish international also had a strong connection with the Huddersfield Town supporters.

“The fans mean a lot to me,” smiled Jonas.

“I hope I get a good reception. I’m looking forward to it.

“I will do all I can to perform well here and to help the team get in the direction we want to go; that’s the most important thing to get that going again.

“I want to get in, get some good performances in the team and play some games again.

“I feel ready. I feel ready to get in there, take responsibility, perform, help the team and help the Club.”
