Huddersfield Town defender Harry Toffolo is ready for the challenge Fulham will pose and admits there’s no reason why the Terriers can’t continue their recent run of form at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Town make the trip down to London on Saturday 1 February 2020 to face the Cottagers in the Sky Bet Championship; 3pm kick-off.
When speaking to #HTTV ahead of this weekend’s game, Harry discussed his previous experience of playing at Craven Cottage.
“It’s a big game. I played there when I was 15 in an FA Youth Cup game, it’s the last time I played there so to go back there as a man, as an adult will be good.
“They’re going to have a lot of quality, a lot of physicality – I’ve seen that in the games they’ve played. But we’ve got that as well.
“There’s no reason why we can’t go there to win the game. We’re going to go there to win the game.”
The full-back was Town’s fourth signing of the January window, linking back up with Danny and Nicky Cowley having moved from Sky Bet League 1 side Lincoln City.
“(The settling in period has been) really good. It’s an easy team to come in to when the team have been performing like they have in the last two games and to be a part of that has been fantastic.
“The lads are great, the manager and staff I’ve worked with before, but the lads that I see day in day out working with them has been great and I’m really looking forward to building more relationships with them.
“As you come into a new team, you have to get up to grips with how the Football Club wants to play and every club is different.
“But Danny and Nicky have the same values they want from a player playing in their side. If I continue to work hard and put performances in for them, then that makes me happy.”
Since making the move up to West Yorkshire, Harry has helped Town to get four points from a possible six in the last two games, following a draw with Brentford on debut and victory over Hull earlier in the week.
“To start the way I have has been great; to get four points out of six against two top sides. There’s now a really good, exciting game coming up on Saturday, that’s the perks of playing in the Championship; you’ve got these massive games every week.
“I like to be thrown in the deep end; I like to be challenged; I like to be tested. I’ve never been so ready for the opportunity to play against those two sides.
“I think the results we got out the games were fantastic and it’s a great value for the efforts we put into the games.”
