Ahead of Huddersfield Town’s visit to the Oakwell on Saturday, has had a look back at three of the Club’s best wins against Barnsley.

Town have enjoyed some memorable wins against Barnsley throughout the seasons.

Here are some of our favourites!

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Barnsley – 01/04/2006

Town scored the only goal of the game when Barnsley came to visit in April 2006.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher found the back of the net in the 55th minute to give the Terriers all three points.

Huddersfield Town 2-1 Barnsley – 26/10/1999

The Terriers beat Barnsley 2-1 at home in October 1999.

Clyde Wijnhard gave Town the lead in the 13th minute to bag his sixth goal of the season.

The visitors came back to level thanks to Mike Sheron, but Town took all three points due to a last minute winner from Simon Baldry – his only goal of the 1999/2000 campaign.

Huddersfield Town 2-1 Barnsley – 26/10/2019

The last time the two teams met was three months ago, in October 2019, when Huddersfield welcomed Barnsley to the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Terriers Captain broke the deadlock, tapping a low ball from Karlan Grant into the net.

Karlan Grant got himself on the scoresheet by doubling Town’s lead, sending the ball straight past Barnsley’s ‘keeper.

The visitors scored a consolation goal in the 79th minute thanks to Jacob Brown, but weren’t able to prevent Town taking all three points.
