Versatile winger Chris Willock is excited to get stuck in at Huddersfield Town after joining on loan.
The 22-year-old arrives from Portuguese side Benfica, but has also ready made his name in English football after coming through Arsenal’s Youth Academy.
In his first interview with #HTTV the winger explained how excited he is to get started, even though signing on his birthday means he hasn’t had a chance to celebrate!
“It was a bit weird at the start because I actually forgot that it was my birthday!
“So much was on my mind, but I’m just really happy to be here now and get the deal done.
“Hopefully I can get to see my family over the weekend and celebrate my birthday then.”
Chris admits to watching the Terriers in the Championship before signing, and is confident that the Cowley’s management style will suit him.
“I think there’s some good players here, I’ve watched them in the Championship this season.
“I like the style of play. I think as a Club on the whole it’s got good morals from what I’ve heard and who I’ve spoken to.
“I think it’s a Club that suits me and hopefully I do well here.”
The youngster has been at West Bromwich Albion so far this season, but admits after not playing as much as he’d like he’s motivated to get some First Team football under his belt.
“I think I spent six months without playing, so it was hard, but I tried to stay focused and work on my game every day.
“I think that gives you a winning drive inside you to do well, when you get the opportunity, so hopefully I can do that.”
