Huddersfield Town midfielder Trevoh Chalobah admits that wrong footing at the start contributed to the Terriers’ 3-2 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Town found themselves behind after the first half an hour, but a sudden comeback and a dominant second half saw them just miss out on a point.

“The first 30 minutes I didn’t think we started well; we weren’t aggressive enough with them.

“After the three goals went in , I think it boosted us to get after them, whereas we should do that from minute one.

“The second half we started to come out and that’s the standard we need to set for ourselves going forward now.

“It was a good performance from the boys in the second half.”

The Terriers intensity on the pitch was obvious in the second half and posed a real threat to the hosts.

“We were told to be aggressive in the second half.

“Obviously getting those two goals lifted the team’s momentum for when we came back out and we gave our all.

“We were just more aggressive and that’s what helped us create a lot more chances in the second half.”

New signing Emile Smith Rowe scored his first goal for the Club and provided an assist moments later – something Trevoh was quick to acknowledge.

“He’s a very good player.

“Obviously being the number 10 role that we’ve been looking for this season, that’s the number 10 we need as that formation is good for us and him – getting him on the ball and creating chances.

“I thought that he did well today.”
