Winger moves to French side for the rest of the season

- FA and EFL approve move that was completed on 31 January
- Belgium U21 international to play in Ligue 1

Huddersfield Town can confirm that the FA and EFL has approved Isaac Mbenza’s loan move to French Ligue 1 side Amiens SC for the rest of the 2019/20 season.

The paperwork on the 23-year-old winger’s loan move to the French outfit was submitted before the deadline on 31 January.

Isaac made six appearances for Huddersfield Town this season but hasn’t featured since the 1-0 win over Stoke City on Tuesday 1 October 2019.

He will now move to the Ligue 1 side to join up with Luka Elsner’s side. Amiens SC currently sit in the Relegation Play-Off place in the French top-flight having won 19 points from 22 games.

Isaac joined the Terriers from French club Montpellier HSC on loan ahead of the 2018/19 season, before an option in his original loan agreement was exercised to make the move permanent in July 2019.

During his time at Huddersfield Town so far, the winger has made 13 starts and 17 substitute appearances in all competitions.

He is contracted to Town until the summer of 2021, with the Club having the option of a further year’s extension.
