Alongside this, Chairman Phil Hodgkinson and former Chairman/Director Dean Hoyle will also be in attendance!

The Pedal for Pounds 11 with Made By Cooper journey will begin on Wednesday 22 April 2020, when the cyclists depart from the John Smith’s Stadium on a 105-mile trek! That day they will visit FC Halifax Town, Bradford City, Leeds United and Harrogate Town before ending up at Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium.

After a night in Teesside, day two (Thursday) will be a scenic 83-mile ride across the North York Moors to Hull City and overnight stayover in Hull.

The cyclists will then head for Sheffield on Friday, stopping in at Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday; day three will be 78-miles.

The final leg of ‘The Ride of Yorkshire’ on Saturday 25 April will see the cyclists call in at Barnsley FC on their way back to the John Smith’s Stadium for the Club’s final home game of the season against West Bromwich Albion for a pre-match lap of honour.

The money raised from the ride will go half to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and half to the Town Foundation. The Foundation will split their half in three ways; half of it to their own Breakfast Clubs and the rest between Kirkwood Hospice and Platform 1 – a men’s mental health charity in Huddersfield.

Huddersfield Town’s Club Ambassador Andy Booth commented:

“If you want to get fit this year, then training for Pedal for Pounds is the perfect way!

“You can prepare for the 300-mile ride, get fit, and then take on the really rewarding challenge.

“There’s only a limited number of spaces available, so if you want to have a goal for 2020, this is the perfect one for you!”
