Town have enjoyed some memorable wins over Bristol City in recent years.

Here are some of our favourites!

Huddersfield Town 2-1 Bristol City – 12/08/2006

In August 2006, The Terriers and The Robins were separated by one goal at the John Smith’s Stadium.

City’s Phil Jevons opened the scoring just after half-time, however their lead lasted only 15 minutes when Luke Beckett got him on the scoresheet to level proceedings.

With the game heading for a draw, Town’s Pawel Abbott produced a last gasp goal to secure the three points for The Terriers!

Bristol City 1-2 Huddersfield Town – 31/08/1998

In August 1998, Huddersfield Town were victorious after a narrow 2-1 win over Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Goals from Barry Horne and Marcus Stewart helped The Terriers to the victory in the South West.

Stewart’s goal turned out to be the decisive goal of the game, scoring his fourth goal in five games at that point of the season.

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Bristol City – 09/08/2005

Huddersfield Town overcame Bristol City 1-0 in League 1 at the John Smith’s Stadium in August 2005.

Pawel Abbott’s effort in the 89th minute of the game was the all-important goal which saw Town as the victors on match day two of the 2005/06 campaign.

This was Town’s first victory of that particular campaign, with Abbott eventually becoming the first Town player to score in each of the Club’s opening six games.

Huddersfield Town 2-1 Bristol City – 10/12/2016

In December 2016, Huddersfield Town beat Bristol City 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Elias Kachunga gave Town the lead after 10 minutes, however were pegged back midway through the first half courtesy of a Tammy Abraham goal for The Robins.

The winning goal came in the second half when Nahki Wells struck to give Town the three points.

Bristol City 1-3 Huddersfield Town – 27/04/2013

Huddersfield Town beat Bristol City 3-1 at Ashton Gate in April 2013.

James Vaughan kicked off proceedings, netting a goal within the opening two minutes.

He doubled Town's lead 11 minutes later, and completed his hat-trick in the second half.

The hosts scored a consolation goal in the 90th minute thanks to Lewin Nyatanga.
