Huddersfield Town midfielder Chris Willock admits that the Terriers’ 3-1 loss to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium was made all the more bittersweet as they’d managed to get back into the game.

Town fought hard to level the playing field with just 12 minutes remaining, but the hosts responded to score twice more before the full-time whistle.

“It’s very disappointing, to get back into the game at 1-0 down to make it 1-1, it’s very disappointing,” said the winger.

“I think we had times in the second half where we could have gone on to win it, so it’s really disappointing and we’re all upset.”

The January recruit was substituted on in the 71st minute and made an instant impact for Town.

“I’m really pleased to affect the game like the gaffer wanted me to.

“It doesn’t matter who scored really, I’m just happy that we got back into the game, but it’s really disappointing that we couldn’t hold on and get something.”

Chris has been increasing his minutes with the Terriers after a dry spell at West Bromwich Albion and commented on getting used to a new system under the Cowleys.

“Obviously there’s a lot I can improve on, but I think every day I’m growing and trying to listen to the gaffer and his staff and trying to perfect my game.

“I think I’m getting used to the pace of the game and hopefully I can get more minutes going forward.”
