Town fans have the opportunity to hear from former Premier League player Clarke Carlisle and find out more about his uplifting story.

The event, which will take place at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday 28 February (doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start), is sponsored by DTR Gas and Heating.

Guests are promised to an interesting, candid and in-depth talk with Carlisle, who after an established football career, is now known for speaking about mental health issues and inspiring others to talk about what troubles them.

If you attend, you will discover more about Clarke’s experience with depression throughout his professional football career from the man himself.

He will also reveal how he overcame his troubles to become the Ambassador of the PFA and will dive into his experience of meeting with then-Prime Minister David Cameron to discuss Racism and Homophobia in football.

Purchased tickets will treat guests to a classic pie and peas supper to compliment what will be an intriguing and inspiring talk.

Prices are £30 per person (inclusive of VAT).

There will also be a brief talk from Andy’s Man Club, along with a raffle with all the proceeds going towards the mental health charity.
