Huddersfield Town Under-17s midfielder Evander Grubb is noticing improvements in the weaker parts of his game thanks to the hard work of the Academy coaches.

Evander joined Huddersfield Town from Pro Chance Football in October 2020 to link up with Jon Worthington’s Under-17 side.

Since his arrival the youngster has been working hard on his development and has, in particular, noticed an improvement in his technical ability.

“I’ve definitely become better at crossing with my weak foot!

“The coaches have really helped me with that as it’s part of my individual development plan.

“I’ve also learnt to be more confident driving at the oppositions players and been working on my press too!”

Previously in the Bristol Rovers Academy, Evander became the youngest ever goalscorer in FA Cup history when he scored twice for Bristol Manor Farm at just 16 years and 54 days!

The midfielder admitted he’s had no problems settling in at Town.

“It’s a lot nicer here. Everyone’s more together, like the team and the coaches, it’s much more tight-knit.”

Evander and his Under-17 teammates travel to St. George’s Park on Thursday (17 December 2020) to meet Burton Albion.
