Goalkeeper Ryan Schofield was delighted with Huddersfield Town’s performance in the 2-0 win over Watford.
The Terriers scored two first half goals and defended well as a unit to secure all three points.
When speaking after the game, the 21-year-old explained how pleased he was with the efforts of the team.
“We wanted to react after the Bournemouth defeat, we did that well defensively against Coventry and built on it in attack today; it could’ve been a lot more than two in the first half.
“I think the lads were brilliant going forward and defending. I mean look at the effort at the end; lads winning headers everything. It was an excellent performance.”
That’s back-to-back clean sheets now for Schofield who made some terrific saves to stop Watford from pulling a goal back.
He, however, heaped praise on the rest of the team for helping him keep out the Hornets.
“At Coventry the lads were brilliant, and I didn’t have to do much. I think tonight I had to make a couple of saves, but I have to thank the lads again; they were brilliant and helped me out massively.
“It’s a dream to play for this club for me and an honour. Whenever I put the shirt on it’s just massive pride and enjoyment. It’s brilliant to be out there.”
That’s now four consecutive wins for Town at the John Smith’s Stadium and the only thing missing for the young ‘keeper is the supporters.
“It’s a shame the fans can’t be in because I know how loud it would be and how buzzing they’d be and how much it means to them.
“I’m glad we can do that even though they aren’t here and turn it into a bit of a fortress.”
