17-year-old midfielder Brahima Diarra made his professional debut for Huddersfield Town at Bournemouth on Saturday!

The Young Terrier’s competitive bow for the senior side came when he replaced Jaden Brown as a 53rd minute substitute at the Vitality Stadium.

The trip to the South Coast was Brahima’s second inclusion in the Town match day squad having been an unused substitute during the game at Cardiff City earlier in the month.

It comes off the back of an impressive season so far at youth level in which the Frenchman has represented each of the Club’s B Team, Under-19s and Under-17s sides.

Most comfortable when deployed as an attacking midfielder, Brahima has played the majority of his games this season in Danny Schofield’s B Team following an impressive debut campaign at Town in 2019/20 in which he netted seven goals in 26 starts across the FA Youth Cup and EFL Youth Alliance in the Under-17s.

Hailing from Paris, Brahima joined the Terriers in the summer of 2019, making the move from his home country France having played for both Montrouge and AC Boulogne-Billancourt in previous years.

The midfielder, who has regularly shown his technical ability in the youth sides, originally joined on a two-year scholarship as a 16-year-old before signing his first professional contract with the Club in August.
