Fraizer Campbell’s fourth goal of the season game the Terriers the lead early on. A good piece of pressure from Isaac Mbenza saw his block on Ben Foster’s clearance fall to the forward who found the empty net to put Town ahead.
Just after the half-hour mark, that lead was doubled as Etienne Capoue headed Mbenza’s corner from the left into his own net.
At the other end, Ryan Schofield also played his part, producing a trio of fine saves throughout the 90 to deny Andre Gray as well as a good close-range stop to divert a James Garner effort away from the goal in the first half.
Those saves were key in an impressive showing at both ends for the Terriers, who wrapped up a fourth successive win on home soil in the last game before Christmas.
