The Terriers secured all three points at the John Smith’s Stadium following first half strikes from Josh Koroma and Harry Toffolo.
Koroma’s spectacular curling strike into the top corner got Town off to the perfect start, going 1-0 up inside the opening four minutes.
Having scored the opener, Koroma turned provider for Toffolo shortly before the break as Town doubled the advantage.
After hitting the post earlier in the half, Town’s no.3 swept the ball past QPR ‘keeper Seny Dieng to send Town into the dressing room 2-0 up at the interval.
Lewis O’Brien went closest for the Terriers in the second 45, producing a good stop from Dieng to make it three as the Terriers saw out the encounter to pick up the win on a chilly December afternoon in West Yorkshire.
