Head Coach Carlos Corberán says everyone needs to take responsibility for the 3-0 defeat to Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Terriers were beaten by the Bluebirds at the Cardiff City Stadium following a double from Kieffer Moore and a late strike from substitute Robert Glatzel.

Carlos reviewed the Terriers’ performance after the final whistle.

“I think today we started well, we showed the ideas we wanted to in trying to have the ball, trying not to give any option to a team with good options in attack,” he explained.

“At the same time, we didn’t create the chances we wanted to create in the first half, and little by little they started to win more in the middle and make more of an impact on our goal.

“They were better in both boxes. They were ready to score three goals even if we had the ball more and created more chances. We were unable to create enough chances in the opposite box.”

The hosts’ goals were the game’s key moments that condemned Town to defeat in South Wales.

Carlos looked back at the goals and says Town will analyse and look to improve from them moving forward.

“We cannot accept that we concede goals that we can avoid.

“The second goal and third goals are goals that we can not have the mistakes in.

“At the same, the first goal we should be in a better condition to defend this goal.

“We need to take responsibility; we need to analyse well from an individual and collective point of view to avoid these types of actions.”

The Terriers will look to return to winning ways at the weekend when Queens Park Rangers are the visitors to the John Smith’s Stadium in their next Sky Bet Championship outing.

The Spaniard says Town are always looking to improve from their performances, no matter the result, and will look to do so likewise ahead of the visit of the Rs on Saturday.

“We need to accept this loss, analyse, and improve for the next game.

“At the same time that after one win we won’t be thinking that everything is done, after one defeat like that we are not going to think everything is done.”
