Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán expressed his disappointment following the 5-0 loss to AFC Bournemouth in the Sky Bet Championship.
Early errors put the Terriers on the back foot early on with the hosts seizing the momentum to condemn Town to a comprehensive defeat on the South Coast.
Carlos reflected on the encounter post-match.
“What we need to do now is to analyse the game,” he said.
“I think in the first minutes of the game, the team didn’t start bad, but at the same time we started with two situations we need to avoid.
“We need to learn from these situations or we are never going to be competitive enough. What we have to do, is be very competitive in the pitch.”
Following a difficult afternoon at the Vitality Stadium, Carlos sympathised with the Town supporters.
“My higher level of pain is for the fans because I know how hard it can be for them to be watching the team.
“What we need to do is try and avoid any type of games like the one we did today.”
Town’s Head Coach also provided an update on the fitness of Ben Hamer and Danny Ward who were both forced off with injury during the defeat on the South Coast.
“Ben Hamer felt pain in the groin, and he felt if he continued playing, he could have another important injury.
“Danny Ward was another change we made because of an injury – he has another problem in the hamstring again.
“What we have to do now is prepare for the next game in the best way, to recover the legs, to analyse with every detail why we got this result.
“The only solution right now is to make our best in the next game.”
